The Planet Bakery Expands The Planet Bakery at 374 Water Street has just undergone a major renovation. Owners Mim Andrews, Ted Pearson, and Shawn Fisk have doubled their square footage, moving the kitchen, expanding their sitting area and redecorating with a colour scheme that apparently has to be seen to be believed. The Planet Bakery is a hot spot downtown for breakfast and lunch, plus they do a big take-out business, everything from sandwiches and soups to a traditional bakery with breads and desserts. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Call (705) 741-5243 for more information.
Kawartha Choice Lamb available Ruco Braat owns Golden Fleece Farms in Bailieboro. You can purchase his local Kawartha Choice lamb at The Coop on Lansdowne Street, Aunt Laura's Tea Room in Bethany, and Doo Doo's in Bailieboro. The Peterborough Chamber of Commerce presents The Working Lunch February 23 at Trentwinds, 264 Lansdowne Street. This is a follow up to the popular Marketing workshop hosted by Fleming College's Jan Watson, held last year. This workshop will focus on the importance of branding, marketing plans, pricing strategies, communication strategies, and target marketing.
