New women's clothing and jewellery store
Zoola and Loola is the funky name of a great new store in downtown Peterborough. Zoola and Loola are the nicknames of Lidia and Zuzia Danielski, a Polish mother/daughter team that has plans for a fun destination store.
The store will feature women's clothing - lines include Buffalo Jeans, Linda Lundstrom, Fresh Produce, CMC and Loose Cut, accessories - including jewellery (Lidia is a jewellery artist, scarves and hand bags, gifts - including soap, candles and glass, and art - particularly from young artists. Lidia promises clothing for everyone with sizes from extra small to XXX with an emphasis on fun, comfort and style.

New festival, events, tourism and conference service
KawarthaFest is a group of area stakeholders committed to building a reputation for the highest caliber festivals, events, conferences and tourism activities. One of the first projects is to provide training for front-line workers in customer service including closing and upselling, cash handling and counterfeit recognition, tourist information and wayfinding, even CPR and First Aid! New location for vacuum/janitorial business
Movers and Shakers this week include Camille and Penny Parent, who recently moved Peterborough Vacuum and Janitorial Supplies from the Heritage Plaza into Parkway Place beside Marks Work Wearhouse. They sell Hoover and Electrolux vacuums and they'll service any make or model. They also have sales and service for Braun and Phillips Electric Shavers.
New location for fabric/sewing business
And J & B's Thread and Spool has moved to a new location at 1724 County Road 18 (that's the highway between Bridgenorth and Lakefield). Owner Janice LeGresley has opened up a brand new location in the lower level of her brand new house. It's bigger and brighter, all on one floor and Janice can go home for lunch! She sells fabric and notions and gives sewing lessons for all ages. The number is 705-652-9494.
Women's Business Network Member of the Year and other WBN news
Congratulations to Deb Csumrik of the T-R Group, the Women's Business Network Member of the Year. The WBN has its year-end party and Stony Lake Boat Cruise next Wednesday. Boating workshop for women
Speaking of women, Women Making Waves is a popular four-part training program for women who are getting into boating or just want to know more.
