Lakeshore Design is a new store located at 427 George St. just south of Brock owned Ange Cunnigham. It's quite the business, it began as a construction and renovation company doing large and small projects as well as new builds, however with Ange's interior design background she decided to open a showroom to give clients a place to view her products. Lakeshore Design is a full service design store offering home staging, hunter douglas window treatments, fabrics, furniture and accessories. The Rare Grill House opens on Brock Street

Rare Grill House is a new restaurant at 166 Brock Street, just West of George St. next to The Cheese Shop. The owners are Brad and Katie Watt. Brad's background includes Dalvay-by-the Sea in PEI, Val d'Isere in Whistler BC, and Bymark in Toronto. The Rare Grill House is a classic steak house with 40 seats specializing in steaks. All of the steaks are Ontario beef with many cuts from the local area - Kawartha Choice! You'll also find ribs, pork chops, the Rare burger, oven roasted chicken, shrimp bisque and sweet potato coconut soup, a carefully selected wine list and homemade desserts.
