Car Dealership Opens in Lakefield

Lawson Village Motors is a new business in Lakefield. Owner Jim Lawson sells a variety of late-model, low kilometre cars. Jim has been in the car business for 30 years, 12 of which have been in this area, and his family has been in the car business since 1949. In fact, Jim's father Ed was at the first car auction in Ontario. Lawson Village Motors is located at 3355 Lakefield Road just east of the Maples Restaurant. Two New Dog Grooming Businesses

While you are up in Lakefield you might as well take the dog along because there are two new places to get your dog groomed. Doggy Style Grooming is owned by Valerie Sayer, and it's located on the Lakefield Highway (Hwy 29) beside Hopkins Motors, just past Horlings. Call 705-652-9908. Law Offices Moving

The law offices of McGillen, Ayotte and Dupuis and Steven Partridge will be moving this Thursday from the corner of Aylmer and Sherbrooke Streets to 347 Charlotte Street, beside Bowes & Cocks Real Estate, across from the Charlotte Pantry. Jeff Ayotte and Steven Partridge have purchased the Charlotte Street building and Bob McGillen and Bill Hill have sold the Aylmer Street building. For more information you can call 705-748-2241.

New Spa on Park Street

Corinne Vardy recently held the Grand Opening of Sea Sand Spa at 41 Park Street, a block North of Romaine. At Sea Sand Spa you can enjoy facials, waxing, make-up, manicures and pedicures. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 10 - 6, Saturday from 9 - 3, and walk-ins are welcome.
