Wedding and event store renovates

The Eventz Cafe is just finishing up a major renovation that will see them double their space at 1600 Lansdowne Street in the Kawartha Heights Plaza. The Eventz Cafe sells the Keurig Coffee Maker, over 140 varieties of single brew coffee, a new line of Lailea Marie loose leaf tea, and Sodastream - a home soda maker. They also specialize in weddings and event linens and decor. Owner Kim MacDonald is showing off the newly expanded showroom this Saturday (July 21) from 10 - 4. Details at www.eventzcafe.com


Scottish shop opens

The Scottish Shop opened its doors last weekend. Located at 318 Charlotte Street, owners Patrick and Maggie Canavan offer a complete line of clothing, kilts and kilt attire, including: kilt rentals or made-to-order; St. Andrews golf clothing and souvenirs; Heather Gems, a line of unique jewellery made from the heather plant; capes; blankets; and bagpipe accessories.
