Stuart "Stu" Harrison writes a weekly column about business news (published on KawarthaNow.com on Fridays and in the Peterborough Examiner on Mondays) and hosts a business segment every Monday evening on CHEX-TV's Newswatch.
Meade Creek Plaza is a new development at 1057 Highway 7 East. Partners Grant Hayes and Jay Lough Hayes offer two buildings, one featuring 20' ceilings and 14' roll up doors, the other with 10' ceilings. It's a high traffic location just East of Peterborough, and a brand new energy efficient building with lots of features. So if you are looking for a location for your business, check out the website at www.meadecreekplaza.com or call (705) 875-5225.
Local Author Bruce Gravel has just published his second book and first novel. Called Inn-Sanity: Diary of an Innkeeper Virgin, the book incorporates hundreds of true-life incidents that Bruce has collected from innkeepers across Ontario in a diary that depicts a young couple in their first year of running a small motel. Bruce has managed the Ontario Accommodation Association since 1985, and the novel was a way of recording many of the true stories he's heard from innkeepers over the years. Bruce will be signing copies of his new book at Chapters this Saturday (October 3) from 1 - 3 p.m. The book is available at Chapters, Titles, Smithbooks and Happenstance in Lakefield.
