Ontario Speed Skating Oval Fundraiser The Ontario Speed Skating Oval, to be built in Lakefield has an important fundraising dinner coming up on November 2 at the Evinrude Centre Banquet Hall. Oval Spokesperson Catriona Lemay Doan will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $125, available from the Oval office in Lakefield in Memorial Hall, 2 Queen Street, or call (705) 652-1687. The Oval will be a tremendous boost to most businesses in this area. The number of visitors it will bring to the area, shoulder and off-season visitors no less, is impressive so make sure you show your support.
