Green Eyewear Optical
Also opening today is Green Eyewear Optical at 374 George Street. As the name suggests, owners Shane and Amanda Palmer are offering several top quality brands, many made from recycled material by eco-conscious suppliers, many designed in Canada. They also walk the talk using a 100 year old dismantled barn to decorate the store, energy efficient lighting, and bamboo flooring. They also offer a mobile optical unit for seniors and shut-ins, using the 2009 Green Car of the Year, the Volkswagen Jetta. Full details and contact information is online at www.greeneyewear.ca or call (705) 775-3937.
