Mikandi's Three Day Model Search

mikandi Kimberley Desjardins is a local designer. Her company is called mikandi and she creates multifunction urban attire. In preparation for a big Industry Party coming up on December 8th, which I'll tell you more about in a few weeks; Kimberly is having a three day model search. She is looking for young fresh faces and all body types to strut the runway, and for fashion, catalogue, beauty, and website photographs, and event promotions. The Magic Rolling Pin is growing soon

The Magic Rolling Pin Elaine Kempt has sold the building containing her popular Periwinkles Restaurant. Jan and Martin Groneng of The Magic Rolling Pin will be renovating and re-opened in February as a tea room, selling pies and gift baskets. In the meantime, Periwinkles will continue until December 21 at 302 King Street with full service, including taking orders for Periwinkle's famous Christmas pies, however there is a great blow-out sale on all of the gifts and crafts that are in stock. Events this week include the Chamber Breakfast Club tomorrow morning at 7:30 pm at the Carousel Restaurant. As well this Thursday the Chamber is presenting another serving in its Working Lunch series. The guest speaker is Diane Wolf of Trent University who will be presenting two hours of professional development on Dealing with Difficult People.
