Stuart "Stu" Harrison writes a weekly column about business news (published on KawarthaNow.com on Fridays and in the Peterborough Examiner on Mondays) and hosts a business segment every Monday evening on CHEX-TV's Newswatch.
Dan Shaer and Wendy Richardson have settled into their new home, which doubles as the home of the King Street Centre For The Arts in Millbrook. The incredible 123-year-old building was once the Methodist Church in Millbrook. It now allows Dan and Wendy to host everything from art classes and camps, to concerts and theatre, to weddings, parties and meetings. From a 300-seat concert hall, complete with 35-foot "cathedral" ceilings and stained glass windows, to a 175-seat banquet hall with wooden floors, a stage, a kitchen and a bar. Check the website for all the details at www.kingstreetarts.ca, including information on their big Christmas Concert this Saturday night. Call 705-932-SHOW.
