An art collective formed under the direction of local mixed media artist Brianna Gosselin will be exhibiting their works during the month of March. The collective is comprised of four women, who have worked and learned together during a 10-week period, during which they were taught the intuitive style of painting by Brianna. This is a method of painting which is intuition-guided and uses a mix of mediums to create truly unique and healing artworks. The “Freedom To Be” show is being launched by the collective to raise awareness to the topic of violence against women and all proceeds are being directed to the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre in support of expressive arts supplies and programming for survivors. In conjunction with the week of International Women’s Day, an exhibit opening will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 10.
