Provincial Parks Guide: Central Ontario
Some say Peterborough, Ontario is one of the best located cities in Ontario. Not only are we situated in the Kawarthas, surrounded by water and just minutes away from woodlands in every direction, we are also within driving distance of many of the finest park resources this province offers. Within two to three hours you can find yourself in Algonquin or Bon Echo, a one hour trip away from Silent Lake, and we're only 45 minutes to the Petroglyphs and just minutes away from Emily Park. This directory has been compiled based on the vast resources available at the Ministry of Natural Resources web site.
