The dusk air of the spring carries the mating songs of various species of frogs and the sky dance of the American Woodcock or Timber-doodle. Join Martin Parker for a two hour outing to listen to and distinguish between the different species of calling frogs and toads of our region and listen to the courtship flights of the American Woodcock. Meet in the parking lot at Tim Horton’s in the Canadian Tire/Sobey’s Plaza on Lansdowne Street west at 7:30 p.m. and then travel to Hooton Line through the Cavan Swamp. The group will walk a section of this closed roadway. Please bring a flashlight. Accessibility: Easy, walking along a closed roadway.
