A BioBlitz is an opportunity to explore a piece of property and count all the living things that reside there. Trees, birds, insects, butterflies, salamanders and more - literally every living thing. Experts will identify the species and volunteers will record the sightings, taking photos while learning about the identification process. Come out for one shift, or come out for the full day. Please register for the times you are available. Light snacks, water & coffee will be available. The day features a bird hike at 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m.; plant hike, reptile and amphibian hike, and aquatics hike at 9 a.m.; family nature hike at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.; aquatics hike and butterly and other insects hike at 1 p.m.; a spider hike at 2 p.m.; a reptile and amphibian and a spider hike at 5:30 p.m.; and a bats and nighttime critters hike at 8:30 p.m.
