20th annual exhibition and sale of Zimbabwean stone sculpture at the Rice Lake Gallery. ZimArt is delighted to be celebrating their 20th anniversary this year! The Rice Lake series of exhibitions was launched in 2000. It has grown immeasurably since then. Now over 500 sculptures are displayed in thematic groupings over two acres. The 50 plus Zimbabwean artists represented by ZimArt are all featured in the exhibition. ZimArt’s 2019 artist-in-residence, Wimbai Ngoma, will be on site during the exhibition to meet with visitors for discussions and demonstrations. The event will also feature live Zimbabwean music by Nhapitapi. A selection of hand-made Zimbabwean crafts and other items will be on sale with all proceeds going to ZimKids Community Support, a Canadian not-for-profit supporting grassroots projects in Zimbabwe.
