Workshop: The Canadian Canoe Museum presents "How To Be a Happy Camper" with Kevin Callan beginning at 9:00 am at Canadian Canoe Museum (2077 Ashburnham Dr., Peterborough, K9L 1P8). Also known as the Happy Camper, Kevin Callan is a legendary Canadian camping icon and the author of many books and resources on camping including "The Happy Camper: The Essential Guide to Life Outdoors". He will be hosting a canoe tripping workshop touching on everything from first-time outings, more moderate excursions, and advanced multiple-day trips. Callan will cover topics including fire lighting, making good meals, portaging, navigation, and basically how to still be happy while dealing with bugs, bears, blisters, and bad weather. Cost: $140.
