Education: One City Peterborough presents "5 Myths About Homelessness: How to have meaningful conversation with those who disagree" beginning at 6:00 pm at Trinity Community Centre (360 Reid St., Peterborough, K9H 7G6). Facilitated by Christian Harvey, this event is aimed at all who want to inform themselves about homelessness by dispelling some of the assumptions and biases we take in from the world around us that are often rooted in our own fear and discomfort, not hatred. It is also for those who want to have these conversations with others and are unsure of how to approach difficult interactions where opposing views on this issue can hinder connection, compassion, and understanding.
