Fundraiser: Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes presents Hike for Hospice beginning at 11:00 am at Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (21 Angeline St. N., Lindsay, K9V 5B7). Now in its 21st year, Hike for Hospice is part of a national movement to support local hospice services providing essential no-cost support to individuals at the end of life and to families navigating the emotional journey of bereavement. This year's fundraising goal is $30,000 to continue providing hospice and palliative care, emotional support, and bereavement services in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Participants can choose to walk solo or join a team. In addition to the walk itself, attendees will enjoy snacks, treats from Kawartha Dairy, and giveaways. All members of the community are welcome to attend and participate, including children and four-legged companions.
