Concert: Market Hall presents Meredith Moon beginning at 8:00 pm at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre (140 Charlotte St., Peterborough, K9H 7E8). Meredith Moon is a Toronto-born folk musician and multi-instrumentalist known for her heartfelt songwriting and distinctive blend of traditional Appalachian influences with modern folk-punk sensibilities. Daughter of Canadian music legend Gordon Lightfoot, she has forged her own path through extensive touring, self-taught musicianship, and acclaimed albums like "Constellations", which was nominated for a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award. Moon's band features Tony Allen on fiddle, Rachel Melas on bass, Jason Jones on electric and pedal stell guitar, Charlotte McAfee-Brunner on trombone, and Will Fisher on drums. Canadian roots musician Lotus Wight, known for his haunting vocals, banjo mastery, and inventive interpretations of early American folk and blues traditions, opens. Cost: $29.
