Lecture: The Canadian Canoe Museum presents Speaker Series: D'Arcy Jenish beginning at 6:30 pm at Canadian Canoe Museum (2077 Ashburnham Dr., Peterborough, K9L 1P8). An evening exploring the life of David Thompson, the fur trader, explorer, and mapmaker whose work shaped our understanding of much of what is now Canada, told through his extraordinary travels and writings. Author and historian D’Arcy Jenish, biographer of Thompson, brings this story to life with insight drawn from decades of writing on Canadian history and Indigenous leadership.
