Ceremony: City of Peterborough, Peterborough Police Service, and the Urban Indigenous Working Group present Strawberry Ceremony for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women beginning at 9:00 am at Peterborough Police Station (500 Water St., Peterborough, K9H 3M4). Residents are invited to a Strawberry Ceremony held in remembrance of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, trans and two-spirited peoples. The ceremony will take place outside on the west side of the police station, near the flagpole. Hand drummers and jingle dancers are encouraged to attend and participate in the ceremony. A screening of "This River", which tells the story of the devastating experience of searching for a loved one who has disappeared, will follow at the Peterborough Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Cost: Free.
