Hydro One studied the use of an existing transmission corridor to accommodate the majority of the proposed new 53-kilometre Durham Kawartha Power Line. For a three-kilometre portion of the line near Clarington Transformer Station, two route alternatives were evaluated based on data from environmental field studies and feedback from local communities to understand the advantages and challenges of each option. A preferred route has been selected. Residents and members of the community are invited to learn more about the preferred route and engage with the project team.
