Local poet PJ Thomas has been writing a book "Afterwaves" about the Peterborough arts community during the early years of the pandemic. Thomas was awarded a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to create the manuscript, which incorporates poetry and creative non-fiction. Thomas will be hosting a live reading to workshop the evolving manuscript. Readers include Laurel Paluck, Frank Flynn, and Hilary Wear. There will be a Q&A session with the author after the reading, where she will ask the audience their opinions. Refreshments will be served.
