Working-class Liverpudlian housewife Shirley (Sarah Quick) is so bored with her life that she finds herself regularly talking to the wall. She dreams of adventure and drinking a glass of wine "in a country where the grape is grown." When she eventually packs her bags for a fortnight in Greece, what she finds is a whole lot more. A hilarious, heart-wrenching and uplifting story full of Willy Russell's fabulous British humour and memorable one-liners. Evening performances at 8 p.m. from August 13 to 16 and 19 to 23, with 2 p.m. matinee performances on August 16 and 21. An optional dinner is available before evening performances.
