A rally outside the offices of the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks Species at Risk Branch on World Biodiversity Day to oppose Bill 5 ("Special Economic Zones Act, 2025"), a proposed new law that would allow the Ontario government to exempt any project from provincial and municipal laws and would repeal the Endangered Species Act, 2007, gutting legal protections for species. This is a family-friendly, peaceful demonstration. Come dressed as a species at risk, or come with a message for the Ontario government about the proposed legislation.
