A 5-km or 10-km family-friendly and pet-friendly community walk through Lindsay dedicated to supporting those experiencing homelessness in the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton. Local hero Mark Fevang has been walking for A Place Called Home since 2003 and has raised nearly $100,000 to support those experiencing homelessness in the community. His goal this year is to raise $10,000 for A Place Called Home. The 10-km walk departs from Lindsay Farmers' Market at 9 a.m. and the 5-km walk departs the A&W parking lot in Lindsay at 10:30 a.m. The walk concludes at the Coach and Horses Pub in Lindsay with a celebratory BBQ.
