The four distinct communities of North Shore Public School are predominantly rural, with the majority of the students traveling by bus. The school is located in the picturesque and proud village of Keene which is located in Otonabee Township. Keene is 25 minutes from downtown Peterborough. Students attending the school reside in the villages of Keene, Villiers, Stewart Hall, Lang, Indian River and Hiawatha FirstNations Reserve.
