During October 10 celebration, emergency housing shelter serving Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County will kick off fundraising campaign to raise $30,000.
Following seven months of concerns raised by neighbouring residents and businesses about drug paraphernalia, swearing, fights, and people urinating on their properties, Northumberland County decided to close the warming/cooling hub at the "modernized" homeless shelter at 310 Division Street in downtown Cobourg as of July 4, 2025.
