Exhibit: Trent University Library & Archives and the First Peoples House of Learning present Birchbark Canoe Building by Alex Labelle in Bata Library Atrium beginning at 9:00 am at Trent University (1600 West Bank Drive, Peterborough, K9L 1Z7). Over the course of several weeks, Alex Labelle, a Métis canoe builder of Algonquin ancestry, will be constructing a traditional 16-foot birchbark canoe in the Bata Library Atrium. Normal construction hours will be Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, with occasional weekend sessions. Cost: Free.
