Concert: Kawartha String Orchestra presents "Stage and Symphony" beginning at 2:00 pm at St. James United Church (221 Romaine St., Peterborough, K9J 2C4). Featuring the music of Mozart, show tune favourites from movies such as Les Miserables and the Sound of Music, as well as selections from local composer and resident KSO bassist Marcus Quin. Guest soloists include Tak Kwan (violin) and Marcus Quin (clarinet). This concert is in support of Upbeat! Downtown, an after-school music program for children living in Peterborough who are interested in music and face barriers accessing music education. Cost: Free, but donations appreciated.
