Theatre: Globus Theatre presents "Jack and the Beanstalk" by Sarah Quick beginning at 2:00 pm at Globus Theatre (2300 Pigeon Lake Rd., Bobcaygeon, K0M 1A0). A traditional British panto filled with laughter, songs, and audience participation. Dame Trott and her son Jack are facing financial ruin. To pay the rent, they will have to sell their beloved cow Patty. Instead,Jack swaps Patty for a handful of beans and the resulting beanstalk brings more problems in the shape of a not-so-friendly giant. A comic retelling of the classic tale that is fun for adults and children alike. Evening performances at 7 p.m. on December 5 and at 8 p.m. on December 6, 12, and 13, with 2 p.m. matinee performances on December 6 and 7 and 13 and 14. An optional Christmas dinner is available before evening performances. School shows will be performed on December 3 and 4, 9 to 11, and 16 and 17.
