Fundraiser: Friends of the Peterborough Library presents Spring Book Sale at Peterborough Public Library (345 Aylmer St N, Peterborough, K9H 7E7). A wide variety of books will be for sale starting at $1 including bestsellers, children's books, rare editions and collectibles (individually priced, well below retail value), literature, Canadian authors, mysteries, science fiction, general fiction, as well as an extensive selection of non-fiction, plus DVDs all priced at $1. All proceeds raised will support the purchase of books and funding of special programs at the Peterborough Public Library. Hours are 12 - 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday. Bring loonies, toonies, and bags. Cost: Free admission.
