Concert: Performing Arts Lakefield presents Ladom Ensemble beginning at 3:00 pm at Lakefield United Church (47 Regent St., Lakefield, K0L 2H0). Ladom Ensemble is a mini-orchestra made up of four musicians who play a kind of acoustic fusion drawn from western classical, klezmer, rock, tango, jazz, east coast traditional, and classical Persian influences. All are classically trained and all fearlessly virtuosic. They believe in taking improvisational risks, in listening deeply and responding spontaneously to one another. Doors open at 2 p.m. Tickets available online or at Happenstance Books & Yarns (44 Queen St., Lakefield).
