Concert: Performing Arts Lakefield presents The Happy Pals New Orleans Party Orchestra beginning at 3:00 pm at Lakefield United Church (47 Regent St., Lakefield, K0L 2H0). LThe Happy Pals New Orleans Party Orchestra are a New Orleans traditional dance hall jazz band formed in 1958 as Kid Bastien's Camellia Jazz Band. Today, the Happy Pals ensemble includes trumpet, trombone, clarinet, banjo, piano, double bass, and drums. Inspired by the music of the 1920s and 1930s, they have been playing New Orleans jazz in Toronto for over 40 years. Doors open at 2 p.m. Tickets available online or at Happenstance Books & Yarns (44 Queen St., Lakefield).
