Heritage: Trent Valley Archives presents Book Launch and Open House beginning at 10:30 am at Trent Valley Archives (567 Carnegie Ave., Peterborough, K9L 1N1). The open house will give members of the public to visit the archives and explore the more than 1,100 collections housed there. At around 11:30 a.m., author, historian, and archivist Dr. Elwood Jones and photographer John McQuarrie will speak about their new book "Peterborough, Spirit of Place," which profiles some of the history of Peterborough including articles about the Robinson emigration of 1825 and how the town evolved from there.
