Theatre: Northumberland Players presents "The Revolutionists" by Lauren Gunderson beginning at 7:30 pm at Firehall Theatre (213 Second St., Cobourg, K9A 3N7). Four beautiful, badass women (playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle) hang out, murder French politican Jean-Paul Marat, and try to beat back the extremist insanity of the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. This comedic work of historical fiction is about art, violence, activism, feminism, terrorism, and how we actually go about changing the world. Recommended for ages 14+ due to strong language. Evening performances at 7:30 p.m. on September 19 and 20, 26 and 27, and October 2 to 4, with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on September 21, 28, and October 5. Cost: $30.
