Environment: Town of Cobourg presents Cobourg Great Lakes Coastal Cleanup beginning at 11:00 am at Cobourg Marina (103 3rd St., Cobourg, K9A 5W9). Community members are invited to participate in the inaugural Great Lakes Coastal Cleanup on World Rivers Day in Cobourg, hosted by the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative and funded by the Government of Ontario. Cobourg is one of six shoreline cleanups that will take place simultaneously that day. The cleanup efforts in Cobourg will focus on Victoria Beach, Lucas Point Park, and the Waterfront Nature Park (west rocky beach). All supplies for picking up the debris will be provided. Volunteers will meet at the Marina building at 11 a.m. to sign-in, collect supplies, and have a coffee. Cost: Free.
