Awareness: Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) presents Art of Recovery Talent Showcase (ARTS) Night beginning at 6:00 pm at Murray Street Baptist Church (175 Murray St., Peterborough, K9H 2S7). CMHA HKPR's HOPE Program will celebrate the creativity, talent, and resilience of individuals with lived experience of mental health concerns with ARTS Night events in Peterborough on October 10 and in Lindsay on October 17. The evenings will feature performances by individuals who have navigated mental health challenges, showcasing music, spoken word, visual art, and more. Attendees can explore vendor tables featuring local art and handmade goods, with opportunities for artists to participate by contacting the HOPE Learning Centre. Guests will also have a chance to win door prizes throughout the evening and a chili dinner will be available for $5. Cost: Free admission (donations to local food banks and humane societies acepted).
