Workshop: Peterborough Theatre Guild presents Directing Techniques Workshop at Peterborough Theatre Guild (364 Rogers St., Peterborough, K9H 1W7). Director and producer Rod Carley will lead this user-friendly, hands-on workshop to introduce you to the practical aspects of directing. This workshop will show you how a good director not only shapes the vision of a production, but also orchestrates the collaboration of diverse talents to bring that vision to life. You'll explore how strong communication is essential for effective direction, so you can express your artistic vision clearly, create an atmosphere of collaboration among cast and crew and manage the complex dynamics of rehearsals. The workshop runs from 7 - 9 p.m. on Friday, 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 - 5 p.m. on Sunday. Cost: $50 (advance registration required).
