Education: St. Paul's Presbyterian Church presents Advances in Alzheimer's Research – Pathways to Hope beginning at 1:30 pm at Princess Gardens (100 Charlotte St., Peterborough, K9J 7L4). A free community education event designed to help the public better understand Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, their risk factors, and strategies to reduce those risks. The program includes a keynote presentation by Dr. JoAnne McLaurin, one of Canada's leading researchers in Alzheimer's therapeutics, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with representatives from local organizations including Kawartha Centre – Redefining Healthy Aging, Age-Friendly Peterborough, and The Alzheimer's Society.
