Dinnertainment: Northumberland Players presents "Leading Ladies" by Ken Ludwig beginning at 5:30 pm at Best Western Cobourg Inn (930 Burnham St., Cobourg, K9A 2X9). In Ken Ludwig's outrageous comedy "Leading Ladies," two down-on-their-luck Shakespearean actors are performing on the Moose Lodge circuit in Amish country when they hear about an old lady who is about to die and leave her fortune to two long-lost nephews. After deciding to pass themselves off as the beloved relatives, the actors find out the heirs are not nephews, but nieces. Disguises, romantic entanglements, suspicions, and other complications abound. Directed by Greg MacPherson. Performances at 7:30 p.m. (with dinner at 5:30 p.m.) on January 16 and 17, January 23 and 24, and January 30 and 31 and performances at 7 p.m. (with dinner at 5 p.m.) on January 18, January 25, and February 1.
