Discussion: Port Hope Community Health Concerns Committee presents "Port Hope's Electricity Future: Wind & Solar or The World's Largest Nuclear Station?" beginning at 6:30 pm at Town Park Recreation Centre (62 McCaul St., Port Hope, L1A 1L1). Guest speakers Jack Gibbons and Angela Bischoff, chair and director of the Ontario Clean Air Alliance, will discuss their their research and recent report "Port Hope's Electricity Future: Wind and Solar or New Nuclear?" which compares costs and outcomes of using the Wesleyville site for a gigantic nuclear plant versus renewables such as on- and offshore wind and on-site solar power.
