Lecture: Trent University presents "A New Era for Interprovincial Trade: Strengthening Canada's Fragmented Market" with Dr. Trevor Tombe beginning at 5:00 pm at Trent University (1600 West Bank Drive, Peterborough, K9L 1Z7). In the 2026 Harry Kitchen Lecture in Public Policy, economist Dr. Trevor Tombe will explore why trade barriers between provinces persist, which sectors are most affected, how reforms like mutual recognition can boost productivity, and how easing internal trade barriers can strengthen Canada’s economy. This lecture takes place in Room 103 at the Bata Library, with a livestream available. Cost: Free, but advance registration required.
