Workshop: One City Peterborough presents "De-Escalation Techniques in Practice" beginning at 9:00 am at Trinity Community Centre (360 Reid St., Peterborough, K9H 7G6). We often have an idea of what skills we want to use in an escalation, but in the moment find it difficult to know how to respond. The goal of this training is to offer theory, practice, and strategies that help us take what we know and put it into action. This training provides participants with practical skills to navigate high-stress interactions, reduce the likelihood of escalation, and build stronger relationships with the people they support.
