Peterborough police report the driver of this vehicle, who had earlier fled from police before crashing the vehicle in the Chemong Road and Towerhill Road area, then fled into the Peterborough Volkswagen dealership where he reportedly assaulted an employee. After police confronted the man, he went into apparent medical distress and was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
