Theatre: Capitol Theatre presents "Hansel & Gretel - The Sticky & Sweet Panto" at Capitol Theatre Arts Centre (20 Queen St., Port Hope, L1A 2Y7). Hansel and Gretel are siblings who are abandoned in a forest, and due to some rather unfortunate navigation, they fall into the hands of a nasty witch who lives in a gingerbread house. With songs you know and love, hilarious characters, and the silliest of stories, this sugar-laden panto will have you rolling in the aisles. Written and directed by Rob Kempson with musical arrangements by Jeff Newberry and music direction by Cott Pietrangelo. This run features both adults-only "naughty" performances and family-friendly performances. Cost: $48 ($40 for 30 and under) for naughty performances, $48 ($40 for ages 13-30 and $22 for children 12 and under) for family performances.
