Theatre: Capitol Theatre presents "Hansel & Gretel - The Sticky & Sweet Panto" (Family Version) beginning at 2:00 pm at Capitol Theatre Arts Centre (20 Queen St., Port Hope, L1A 2Y7). Hansel and Gretel are siblings who are abandoned in a forest, and due to some rather unfortunate navigation, they fall into the hands of a nasty witch who lives in a gingerbread house. With songs you know and love, hilarious characters, and the silliest of stories, this sugar-laden panto will have you rolling in the aisles. Written and directed by Rob Kempson with musical arangements by Jeff Newberry and music direction by Cott Pietrangelo. Matinee performances at 2 p.m. on November 22 and 23, 30, December 6 and 7, 13 and 14, 20, 23, 27 and 28, with an additional matinee performance at 3 p.m. on November 29. Morning performances at 10:30 a.m. on November 26 and December 3, 10, and 17. Cost: $48 ($40 for ages 13-30 and $22 for children 12 and under).
