Environment: Friends of Jackson Park presents Jackson Park Litter Cleanup beginning at 10:00 am at Jackson Park (653 Parkhill Road West, Peterborough, K9J 6N6). A community litter cleanup where volunteers will gather and break into teams to address problem areas in and around Jackson Park. The focus will be some abandoned campsites, which require heavier work and work that's not suitable for children since there's some risk involved. Participants are encouraged to bring work gloves, snacks, and cleanup tools (bags will be provided). For harder to access sites, human-powered carts with wheels (wheelbarrows, trailers, wagons) would be useful. Meet at the parking lot at the end of Monaghan Road. Cost: Free.
