Discussion: Peterborough Historical Society and the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) present "Opposing War" beginning at 7:00 pm at Peterborough Lions Community Centre (347 Burnham St., Peterborough, K9J 1T5). "Opposing War: Remembering Those Who Objected to War and Their History of Resistance in Peterborough and Across Canada" will be introduced and moderated by David Tough. Representatives of religious denominations will explain their positions on pacifism, and there will be a panel of people who came to build lives in Peterborough after refusing to fight American wars.
