Seminar: Township of Cavan Monaghan and Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing present Candidate and Third Party Advertiser Training beginning at 6:00 pm at Cavan Monaghan Community Centre (986 County Road 10, Millbrook, L0A 1G0). For those interested in running for municipal public office, attend this seminar to learn who is eligible to run for council or advertise for a campaign, how the nomination process works, the roles and responsibilities of council members, and campaign finance rules and requirements. Following the presentation, election staff representing the City of Peterborough and each township in the county will be available to answer questions and share election information specific to each municipality.
